Consultation for Chronic Problems

Many diseases are chronic and the complexity of the information needed for homeopathic evaluation requires sufficient time to understand the state needing treatment – up to 3 hours for an initial consultation and 45 minutes for a follow-up appointment.

All conditions are as individual as you are - no two people have the same migraine, or suffer the same way from arthritis.  And so homeopathic prescribing is unique and individual for each person, as is the way one responds to treatment.  It is very different from conventional or allopathic medicine because of the approach the homeopath takes to explore the whole person and uncover the basic causes and patterns of suffering.  No one organ of the body can be sick without affecting the person as a whole.  Therefore, all symptoms (mental, physical & emotional) are taken into account as expressions of the body’s underlying disturbance. 

From there, time is spent after the consultation studying your condition and the homeopathic remedy that best fits the state is selected. This treatment produces a deep healing, improved harmony and higher levels of awareness.   Follow up appointments are booked 4-6 weeks apart.  The length of treatment depends on the severity of your illness. For serious conditions it is important to maintain good contact with your primary care physician.
 
Homeopathy is excellent complementary treatment because it does not cause side effects or interact with other medicines.  Once you are feeling better, yearly check-ins are recommended.
